"True the verse." God diDn't Curse Anybody in Eden!

“So? There’s been a misunderstanding going on?”  “No. It is more serious than just a misunderstanding.”  

People have been “cursing” all women in their minds, thinking that’s what God did back in the beginning, in the Garden of Eden. Thinking it was right to do so, at least in some way.  But doctoral research shows that God didn’t curse Eve (or Adam) or limit woman in any way!   

The problem? Most Bible versions in English are publishing mistranslations of Genesis 3:16. They make it look like woman was singled out by God for specially harsh treatment raising questions like, 

• “Why should woman be judged that way?” and  “What did she do to earn such harsh treatment?”  
• “Was there something wrong with her? Was she flawed from the beginning?”  
• “Were the pagans right blaming the woman Pandora for unleashing all evils?”  
• “Was the first woman “the Temptress” or “the Fool” in the Garden of Eden?  

People who take the Bible seriously and read the mistranslations get caught up in at least some of these thoughts. And because they do their theology gets upside down and so too does the way they teach that woman must be treated in the home and in the church.  

The Solution? We’re working to “true the verse” based on the research of Dr. Joy Fleming. And we need your help. We’re working to launch the Tru316 Foundation in 2023.   The work of this 501(c)(3) Private Operating Foundation will be to convince Bible translators to correct their mistranslations of Genesis 3:16 and related passages.  

As part of the work of the Tru316 Foundation we are educating Christian authors, teachers, preachers, counselors and more. We do this through the Tru316 Project and its educational outreaches, such as: The website (Tru316.com), The Eden Podcast (audio), The Eden Course (digital), The Eden Book Series (print, eBooks and Audible). We are also working to facilitate donor advised giving (DAFs) to like-minded organizations.
